Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Barako Technologies (“we”, “us”; barako.tech) handles information in Like a Rolling Stone (the “Game”), a free game for a general audience. By playing, you agree to this policy.
The short version
There are no accounts — we don’t ask for your name, email, or phone number. Your progress (best distance, gold, unlocks) is stored only on your device; we never receive it. The Game shows Google AdMob ads to stay free, and in the EEA/UK we ask for your ad-consent choices through Google’s consent prompt. We use basic, non-identifying analytics to run and improve the Game.
No accounts; your progress stays on your device
You play immediately — there is no sign-up, username, or login. Your scores, gold, boulder unlocks, and upgrades are saved locally on your device and are not transmitted to us or to any server. Deleting the app (or clearing its data) removes that local progress.
Information we collect
- Progress data: stored only on your device, never sent to us.
- Analytics: via Firebase/Google Analytics we collect basic, non-identifying technical and usage information (such as app version, device type, and aggregate events) to understand engagement, fix problems, and improve the Game.
- Advertising: our ad provider (Google AdMob) and its partners may process limited device information and identifiers needed to serve, cap, and measure ads, in accordance with their own privacy policies and your consent choices.
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or precise location, and there is no profile or username to fill in.
Advertising & your consent
The Game displays advertisements from Google AdMob: a banner on the menu and game-over screens, and an optional rewarded ad you can choose to watch for in-game gold. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), we present Google’s consent prompt (UMP) so you can choose between personalized and non-personalized ads; your choice is remembered on your device. Learn how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
How we use information
- To run the Game on your device.
- To analyze engagement and improve gameplay, balance, and performance.
- To show ads as described above and to keep the Game free.
Children’s privacy
The Game is directed to a general audience and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at hello@barako.tech and we will review and delete it.
In-game currency
“Gold”/coins are a virtual in-game currency with no monetary value. They cannot be bought with real money, exchanged for cash, or transferred between devices.
Sharing
We don’t sell your data. Information is shared only with our advertising and analytics providers (Google AdMob and Google/Firebase Analytics), who process limited device data as described above, and with authorities if required by law or to protect our rights and our users.
Your choices
You can reset your ad-consent choices or opt out of personalized ads through your device’s ad settings, and you can remove all local progress by deleting the app. For any request, email hello@barako.tech.
Security & responsibility
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for unauthorized access beyond our reasonable control.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
